I have 2 PCs and neither of them can playback this particular video. When I attempt to play the video in any player I try I get no audio and a gray/black display. I have tried CCCP, CoreAVC, VLC, MPC, etc. and nothing works. Any ideas?
Edit: The title is should say x264.

its bad idea use a codec pack.
For mkv and x264 i doing this ->
Install Haali Media Splitter
CoreAVC/Cyberlink h264/AVC video decoder for video
CreAAC/ffdshow for audio
and use a decent player, MPC or Zoomplayer.
If you can send me your video Ior sample i should tell you more

It's a bad idea to use a bad codec pack but CCCP is a good pack. ;)
Maybe that video is broken?

I don't think the video is broken, because their are 2 separate files and both have the same problem.

If VLC and mplayer won't play them, they're broken, no codec interference to blame for that. If they're PAFF interlaced, those aren't supported by libavcodec, but CoreAVC would work for those. (At least 1.1+, I assume you don't mean 0.4, which is pretty broken.)

As a suggestion, you may try to post here some info from matroskadiag (I have put it in attachment if you can't find it somewhere at your PC) to help people in helping you.

This is what matroskadiag is telling me. There is more but this what looked the most important.

it also says that the header file is unreadable. Or more specifically
"TEbmlReader.ReaderHeader : EBML header ID not found (found 0x5249)". Is this fixable, or am I screwed?

It means your file is corrupted, so no, it cannot be played.
