Greetings.

In the german doom9/Gleitz board, we just had a question about a DVD which reports to have 16 GB, and cannot be copied.

I don't ask for a way to circumvent it ... it would be quite basic anyway. I just ask if you already know CP technologies using dummy files on a Video DVD, and even examples.

The current state of information is still quite low, I have to ask for more details. This case could still turn out as nonsense...

Hi!

Is it a coincidence that 16Gb is the size of a single layer HD DVD - or did someone get an HD DVD without realizing it?

I bet this is one of the recent ones with 3 VTS_01_1.VOBs on it. EG Das Parfum or Wer frueher stirbt, ist laenger tot or Silent Hill.

It's not impossible for a corrupt filesystem to report such strange things. I've seen them claim to have 3GB files on a 128MB disk, and on one occasion, the disk capacity changed.

I think that the first Hitman pc-game had that (like 4 gig on the cd version), and it did probobly get copied so there could be a soulotion around. Try to make an .iso file perhaps?
