HOW to figure out if the movie has how much fps? and what fps the movie does not need to be DEINTERLACE. thx a lot reply as soon as possible

No crossposting! Merged. Also, the mpeg 1/2 forum would be totally the wrong place to ask this.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but in general, almost all movies are 23.976 in NTSC and 25 in PAL. gspot can tell you for avi, but for DVDs, you have to read up to find out.

Deinterlacing has nothing to do with framerate. Although if it's 24 fps it's probably progressive film and not interlaced.

True, with the big exception being XXX films: they are almost always 29.970 FPS (shot on (cheap) video: purely interlaced, they need to be kept at 29.970 FPS and de-interlaced)
