Ok, I thought it is worth to open a new thread as the other threads discuss different focus areas. I am interested in getting a nice ffdshow-playback with postprocessing for the new formats.
Thanks to Haali's greta work we have now a splitter which works. I can get it to work with graphedit on evo-files directly with the Microsoft VC-1-Codec and ffdshow-raw-postprocessing. Audio through ffdshow (DTS) works even for spdif.
Obviously the whole thing works only with AnyDVD, so no HDCP-issues involved (and yes, I own the original HD-DVDs).
There are so many HD-DVDs which still have a picture quality that ffdshow would be a cure, so I would like to encourage the devlopers to give it some focus:
- In ZP strange things happen: When resize is enabled, I have a picture. When no re-size is enabled in ffdshow (rev 1006), no picture (white screen)
- I have not yet completed test on the audio stuff, so the down-conversion to spdif 5.1. would be interesting, I guess (DTS-tracks work already).
BIggest Bug so far: If ffdshow is used in the video-part (does not matter if it is only postprocessing-raw-filter after the original MS VC-1 Codec or directly the ffdshow-VC-1-decoder): Instead of correct speed of 23.976 fps, it recognizes 29.999 fps. So, the video is much faster than the audio which indeed is the case...without ffdshow in the video-chain, with pure MS VC-1, it works, eventhough SPDIF is still somewhat jaggy (core duo 6400 at 3.6 ghz).
