I'm trying to burn an avi file to a DVD. The avi file plays fine on the computer but when I burn it to a DVD (Nero Vision 4)it always skips and develops audio sync problems at the same point in the movie. I tried burning the movie to an ISO and mounting the ISO and playing it on the PC, same problems at the same point. Why would I only have problems with the recoded video?

Hi!
Are you trying to create a compliant DVD (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs), or simply burning the .AVI as a Data Dvd?
There are myriad possibilities as to the cause of the problem. For a start, load the .AVI into "GSpot" and post a screencapture back here...

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to burn a compliant DVD. At first I thought it was a DVD problem, tried writing at slower speed, but I even get the errors when I burn to an ISO file and mount it. So, it must be an encoding problem. Here's the gspot caputure.

What codec and what bitrate was used to make the AVI?
