Here's my problem. I live in the United States. So my Region is NTSC. I've downloaded a few full image DVD's from what I assume is PAL and I know that because they're disks from the UK. Now I tried first to just burn them to DVD-R they burned fine and play in the computer no problem.

Not that case on my home DVD Player. They won't play. So I decided to run it through DVD Shrink without shrinking because it's already at 4.35G and have it set on "Region Free" (By the way they the downloaded DVD VOB's were NOT encrypted if that matters at all) then tried burning it again and once again it plays no problem in my computer but still will not play in my home DVD player.

Any Suggestions? Because I was under the impression that "Region Free" would allow the Disc to be played on either format player. I still don't understand why it'd play in my PC and not on my DVD Player.

Hi!I've downloaded a few full image DVD'sYou might want to RE-read the Forum Rules (particularly #6), as well as the "Announcement" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum...

NTSC and PAL have to do with the way the video is encoded, frame rate and video size to be exact on the differences. Region has to do with the Region the dvd was pressed and the encryption that blocks playback not in the country it was sold and pressed in.

Just thought I would help you get your terms straight before this gets locked.
