Hi!

Yes, your burner should be capable of burning both DVD-R and DVD+R media.

1) Did you purchase the DVD+Rs from a reliable source?

2) What is the brand and "MID" (Manufacturers' ID) of the DVD+Rs?

3) Exactly what happens when you try to burn to DVD+R media?

4) Have you tried to use different burning software, such as (freeware) IMGBurn?

thanks 4 taking the time out to reply setarip...embarrassingly i must admit my dvd's come from big w..they are benq dvd's.......sorry i'm too newby to know what the manufacturer's id is ....i have nero 6 and what happens is the dvd+r disc is ejected by nero...yes i have tried using a different program(winavi vid converter)and i can burn to dvd+r with this program..this is what puzzles me ,the fact that winavi burns to dvd+r and my primary burning program nero does not..i was under the impression that nero should be the best for burning as it is a burning program..

In IMGburn, use build mode, to build your ISO. load the folder with the VIDEO_TS file and build, then you can burn to disk..
you can also try IMGTool burn, and burn without an ISO file..

BTW, I have the same burner plus 2 other Lite-On drives on second sys. and use Verbatim DVD+R both with no probs...

I think you should use the DVD-R disc anyway. They are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more compatable the the DVD+R. It will play in almost all DVD players. Just my 2 cents.

Hi!I think you should use the DVD-R disc anyway. They are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more compatable the the DVD+R.Although well-intended, your statement is both grossly exaggerated at best, and about 3 years out of date...
