I know that the First Play PGC has to be a dummy PGC, but is it in specs if it has only a Post or Cell command and no Pre? It still works when I play my HD files on PowerDVD.

Also, there are zero programs and cells in FP. And it still works. Opening, saving, and opeing it again in PgcEdit does not give me an error. Only when opening the first time.

I've seen commercial DVDs where there are no Precommands in FP-PGC and only post ones. I doubt a cell command can be legal in FP-PGC

I inserted only 9 NOP cell comands and the 10th jumping to a VMG PGC 1 and it works in PowerDVD. Again no cells presents in FP.

Do not trust PowerDVD..

It is not illegal to have cellcommands in FP, but useless due to the fact that cell commands are executed only after the cell is presented...

Commands in FP should be placed in either Pre or Post.
Set commands in Pre and Post area can confuse players.
Dvdforum suggests following
Description of playback problem of Disc Disc that FP_PGC is set.
And also, execution command exists in both PRE_CMD and POST_CMD.
Phenomena of playback problems
Command is not executed appropriately one by one, it might not be able to operate since no playback is commenced.
Countermeasures to be taken with disc
In the event that FP_PGC is set, execution command to be set shall be either PRE_CMD or POST_CMD>

I agree. Pre and post commands can be used, but cell commands are useless in dummy PGCs, and the FP-PGC must be a dummy.

Also, I wonder if a Break pre-command can be used to jump to the post commands in a dummy. Any clue?

Thanks guys. I was bored on a Friday night. This is not the first time I tried testing the DVD specs within players.
