Does this mean that my DVD is scratched or damaged physically? I get 96% of the way through and then it stops. Is the material I ripped playable?

Hi!Does this mean that my DVD is scratched or damaged physically?That's likely (The location would tend to negate the possibility of copy protection).
Try cleaning the disc. If the problem persists, return the DVD to the place of purchase, in exchange for a new one.
What is the Title and Region of the DVD?

The DVD is one that is particular to my Kung Fu school. So I am assuming that a Kung Fu teacher isn't using copy protection on a DVD that might only sell a couple thousand copies at the most. None the less the title is Eight Standing Meditations Of Bagua and DVD Decrypter says that it is source media region code 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. I have never seen this before but it could just be because I wasn't looking. A cursory visual inspection shows very little scratches on the disk. I tried cleaning it with a cloth and water but I DVD Decrypter still fails at the same time, 96%. Is there a better way to clean disks? I have heard of using some paste like compounds that are mildly abrasive but I worry about making the damage worse.

have you tried simply dragging and dropping the files directly from the disc?
it may not be protected at all if its home made.

It certainly won't be protected. Therefore, the original disk is damaged.

The DVD is one that is particular to my Kung Fu schoolBy all means, as I suggested earlier, return it in exchange for another one...

I get an error regarding my DVD Drive and it's driving me up the wall :eek:
I keep cancelling it. Is there a way of getting rid of the error message?

...it's something about storage. It displays my CD drive and gives me three options;
1. Retry
2. About
3. Ignore
I always click on Ignore and the Decrypter runs fine.
