I de-muxed a PGC to m2v + ...
I need to re-encode this m2v to smaller m2v
what encoders can do that job?
I use HC but I'm not sure which configuration is better?

1. create d2v from m2v with DGIndex and get 23,976fps MPEG2 video, then encode with HC with 3:2 pulldown

2. just create avs which contain MPEG2Source(...) and encode that avs

which one should I choose? 1 or 2?

If you want the smallest VOB and you have film, then by all means revert it to 23.976 and then apply soft pulldown.

neuron2, there is an option for 3:2 pulldown in HC encoder but I'm not sure if it's soft or hard pulldown

Perhaps I don't check that 3:2 pulldown option in HC encoder, just encode .d2v file in order to make an 23,976fps m2v then finally use your program called DGPulldown to apply soft pulldown.
Nice

I have seek problem (can't drag the slide bar) with PCGs(there is only a chapter in these PGCs) which muxed of encoded m2v streams in Windows Media Player, have no problem with demuxed then muxed of original m2v streams.
I'm working on it
