Is quarter-pixel compatible with any standalones out there?
And also, GMC.. Do they work with the DivX compatible players?
Also, Is there any XviD Certifies Players available.. From major brands? Like Philips, Sony, Sharp or something like that...

qpel works in pretty much all players. Exceptions would be ESS based players, older Sigma (?) and perhaps Sunplus.
GMC on the other hand. I heard something about the Zoran Vaddis 888, but I am not sure.

Well...Thanks... I m only a beginner... I have a SHARP DVD Player which plays my XviD pretty well...But how do I find if it is an ESS or Sigma...I couldn't see any labels or something in the player. Also, what chipsets do Philips use?

Philips used to use ESS (DVP-642) but now I believe use MTK. Opening it up (this will probably void your warranty), you would be able to see the chipset. Otherwise menus are a good indicator (assuming factory based firmware rather than in house) or you could search.
