Hi,
Do I need to de-interlace my encodes even if I intend to view them exclusively on my TV?

Is your TV a progressive one (e.g., modern LCD) or an interlaced one (e.g., CRT)? If the latter, you can leave it interlaced. If the former, it's your choice whether to deinterlace or just let the TV do it.

And....

Are you intending to play your encodes using a stand-alone player hooked up to your TV.... Or a PC with software player hooked up to your TV?

Cheers

My TV's rear-projection, I'm pretty sure its not progressive. I play my encodes on a Philips dvp 5500 standalone.
