Hi,

Does anybody know what h264 encoders support SP/SI frames, if any?
(apart from fraunhofer which I'm told supports SP)

Any encoder who supports extended profile, AFAIK there is no any encoder who support SP/SI frames right now.

Could you clarify? Your answer seems to be self contradicting. I did see that they seem to be a part of the extended profile (and there are encoders that support it), but doubt that SP/SI support is implicit in extended profiles.
I'm particularly intrested, btw, in SP frames - for stream quality switching.

check the reference encoder

Could you clarify? Sure http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H264#Profiles , scroll down for table. To be honest, i really don't know, is it possible to have this frames without extended profile. Like bond says, check JM reference encoder.

No.

Only Extended Profile support it (Streaming and others specifics applications...)
: I/P/B/SP/SI-Frames, progressive et CAVLC.
