View Full Version : Demuxing .TS files to elementary streams

I'am asking for a program which can demux a .TS file to elementary streams (my file is conatining HD MPEG-2 and an ac3 stream).

I want to remux it to mkv.

The problem is, that I think my .TS file has some errors, because in pdvd 7.2 ultra I got some skips and glitches, and the music sometimes goes off for a second. But when I play it in videoredo, the playback is completely smooth, and the music plays continously (no skips etc.).

Note: my cpu is strong enough, so not the hardware is the problem. Other peoples also noted, that the file has some problems (pioneer HD demo 2006, should be found on hdbits).

Thanks for the help!

You could try MPEGStreamclip

Those error messages aren't fatal; you're just being informed that the apps found problems and were in the process of correcting them. Xport and Project X were both written with the goal of keeping Audio and Video in synch during demuxing - they're going to complain about things that other demuxers will ignore.

The problem is that the original, and the demuxed tracks has the same errors like skipping for a second in some places.

I tried both, and the demuxed tracks (audio and video) has the same skipping ang glitching errors.

I try MPEGStreamclip with many way (using "fix data breaks" and without, or with "timecode fix" ), but I always got the same result as the original file has: skippings ang glitches.

Any sollution for this?

If the data isn't there to begin with, then no. Try out Mpeg2Repair - here's an automated way to run it and demux with xport.

Another option is to convert to mpg in VideoRedo or MpegStreamclip and demux with a more "conventional" demuxer, like the Unmux feature in Mpg2cut2 or Tmpgenc. Doesn't matter what you try on really badly damaged transport streams - you might have to settle with cutting out the bad parts manually and leaving gaps in the video presentation.
