Hi All,
I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I've been reading the forums for a few days and have not found what I'm looking for.
My set top box Scientific atlanta 4200HD has firewire ports and I would like to capture the TS streams for my local television channels E.G ABC, CBS NBC. What I would like to know is what software I would use to capture the streams and what software I would use to convert these to DVD. I would like to capture the HD content in 5.1 sound.
Is there a complete guide on how to do this. I'm not capturing encrypted pay TV. I just want to capture a few local HD Broadcasts.
I also have a set top DVR Scientific atlanta 8300HD with firewire ports that I can put an external hard drive on to expand the storage. So if there are any posibilities with this configuration also let me know.
I would be hooking up my set top box directly to my firewire input of my PC.
