DVD to VOBSub

Is it possible to convert DVD Subtitle to VOBSub under MEncoder? And if it's possible how to do that?

You can use VSRip. Very easy to use.

please give some more details. Where are you stuck precisely? Which errors did you encounter?

Alternatively, mplayer from the same package also contains (beta) code for vobsub dumps.

Sorry, but how about you give it a try and then come back with specific questions? It is your school assignment after all, and the second example on the page I gave you is quite specific already ...

The only thing I want is to select DVD as input(e.g dvd://1 -dvd-device F:\VIDEO_TS), select subtitle language(e.g. −sid 0), and got *.sub and *.idx file as output. Am I clear now? How to do that?

Wow, a year gone now and I come up with the same problem. I'm trying to rip subs from several eps in a row which means each ep is in it's own PGC. The mplayer help does not seem to offer any info on how to extract those, does it?
