I ordered the following components:
e6600 cpu
evga 680i mobo
crucial ballistix pc6400 2x1 GB Ram
Geforce 8800 gts
Ocz 700 watt PSU
I plan to overclock to around 3.8 ghz
Is it better to go with the Tuniq Tower 120 cooler or an Armor LCS case with built in liquid cooling?

Tuniq Tower 120
You should consider its weight and if it fits your motherboard.
Weight 798g (without fan)

Quote: see the temparatures? thats 25C air cooling with a tuniq 120 btw

As I can see, someone with your motherboard has Tuniq:

(No personal experience with evga680i/Tuniq Tower.)
Armor LCS

Overclocking is not guaranteed, I suppose you know. Whether it would be possible to get 3.8 GHz stable is a question.

Thank you jeffy
I read most of the reviews but I am still unsure if this top air cooler is better than a mid level liquid cooling system as nobody compared it to liquid cooling AFAIK
check

a better place to ask would be a dedicated overclocking forum, such as [h]ardocp or OCAU.

"I am very surprised this cooler does better then a water cooler and that's great because there's a less risk of water leakage."

compared with a water cooler (http://www.velocityreviews.com/reviews/Titan-Bianca-TWC-A05-Water-Cooler.php)
Comment: It beaten only a single water cooler, not all of them :D
You can also read an interesting article at THG where they used Gigabyte water cooler (but no Tuniq):
Cheap Thrills: Core 2 Duo E6400 Overclocked to 3.33 GHz
http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/10/10/cheap_thrills/page2.html
There is also a comparison of three good air coolers, Scythe Ninja Plus, Noctua NH-U12F & Zalman CNPS9500:

But I agree with check, you can try asking eg. at http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10

ok
-Tuniq Tower beats the Titan Bianca water cooling by not much
-here: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/16watercooling_33.html
the TT BigWater SE beats the Bianca by large margin
-looking at the specs the armor lcs has a much stronger pump, twice as large rdaiator and thicker tubes than the BigWater SE
I think based on this the Armor LCS is better than the Tuniq Tower

Just be sure you can actually hear the noise of Tuniq Tower and Armor LCS before you make your purchase...
