Problem with divxmediabuilder

always I want create the final divx file appears this:

what is the problem that does not let create the final file?

Put DivXMediaBuilder in a folder that not contain locale characters, something like "c:\Program Files\DMB"
Also make sure that all paths of movies are in english.

About "file to use as border for chapter preview not found"
Redownload latest version and extract the zip to "C:\Program Files\DMB" using folder names. A new subfolder must be there named "frames".

Now, after you select the title from drop-down list you can see the frames.

Right click at buttons, text or menu background and a menu will pop up.

For sound, right click at menu background and select "Use sound for menu".

Now, about the "colour of selection if appear over the button to click".
After creating the menu and close the dialog, at Main screen you can see the menu.
Over this menu is a toolbar. There you can see 3 colors. These colors are used for the overlays (when a button is selected). Hit one to change it. As you understand only 3 colors per menu are available.

I dont understand userxp

this is my menu of title, I create the overlay of botons and the action of the bootons but i dont know how make this appears in the menu (not the overlay)
and where is the option of sound for menu?¿?¿

In the menu of Chapters, I have the overlay with the action of the botons, but I have the same problem, and beside y cant find in what part press to put the frames the movie in the chapters

and how can i put texts in the menu with no action like title of movie or for example
Subtitles (only a title, not botton): spanish (this is a boton), None (this too)

The easiest way to do what you want is this

Go to File - "New with wizard..."
Use the Add button to add all the titles/movies you want. Use the "Create chapters" to create chapter points for any title/movie you want.
Hit 2 times the Next button and you are at a page where you can preview and change the menus will be created. These menus can be Title menu, Chapters menu and Setup menu.
Double click at a menu you want to see/change. The menu will pop up.
Now by right clicking at the menu backgound you can change the background picture, set the sound and the name for the menu.
Also, right click at buttons and you can change the text, the frame (if is a menu for Titles or Chapters), the font and color.
Right click at text/captions and you can change the text, the font, the color. Also can add extra text/picture to add at the menu.
After changing all this you can right click at the menu backgound and use the "Set these settings as default" to save all the changes for feature use.

At the end hit the Create button and the menus will be created. This way the menus are ready to use. I mean you are ready to create the new divx file.


At main screen (when you preview a menu) you can not add text/picture because the menu there is an avi file and not just a picture to edit it.


To do all the above "by hand" you can use (at Main screen) the menu
Tools -
Many movies with menu
Menu for chapter with preview
Menu for audio/subtitles setup

thanks userxp, finally i can create the menu of titles and the menu setup, and i can make the menu for chapters but still I have a problem,when i have all ready to the menu to press botton create (in menu chapter with preview) appears the next error:

Must be a problem with codec.
Go to dialog Options - Menus tab. There check the "Use only VirtualDubMod" and hit the Ok button. Try again.

Your picture is more than 720x576 pixels. Please resize the dialog.

Resize the dialog to something a lot smaller (like 500x300) and try again

dont worry userxp I dont know why but places the image in the folder templates/pictures and It work and no longer it throws error to me and finally I could create the final file divx with menu and everything.

Now I have a last question I place soundtrack as background sound to the menu (title) and single the 5 seconds of the song are listened to to me since that hard reprduction of the menu

¿is possible to increase this time so that the whole song of bottom is listened to?

In the menu of the chapters also it places background sound but single it is listened to the 8 seconds that were what that I gave of “Set animations in sec” is possible to increase the time that is listened to the song?

To increase the sound time must increase the length in secs of the menu

I dont know why userxp but the program still continuous throwing the error:

Video compresion error: the source image is not acceptable. (error code -2)

the resolution of the image lowers it and either it does not work

Try again to create a (not motion) menu.
After you see the message don't click at OK.

Open an other VistualDubMod window, and go to File - "Open video file...". Go to "<DivxMediabuilder's folder>\tmp" folder and select the picformenu1.bmp

Now at VistualDubMod go to File - "Save As...". At dialog and under Comression hit the Change button. Select the "Divx 6.5... codec" and hit Ok. Give a name and hit the Save button.
Did you get any error message?

when I place the image in the folder pictures of the program and in the own folder of the program, it does not send the error to me and I can create the menu
I dont know why happens this but it work

aH forgot to me, How I can increase to the time of the menu setup and titles so that thus it sounds to more time the background sound?
