It seems that since the new version of DV2SVCD I have a strange problem. Everytime I start the process DVD2AVI stops after doing about half of itīs job. A message box appears saying "I/O-error 87". Whatīs wrong right now ?

I am using WindowsXP. Former Versions of DVD2SVCD worked fine for me.

Thanx for help.

Fantastic

(PS: Because I do not know the reason or the solution to the problem right now I am not quiet sure if I should have better posted this "stupid" (?) question in the newbie-forum. But using DVD2SVCD I am not a newbie. So I try in this forum. O.K. ?)

Error 87:
The Parameter is not correct.
ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER

...but I don't think this will help you much...

Seems I found out the reason for the problem. Somehow I made a mistake when I ripped the last few movies to my harddrive. I used dvddecrypter with the option "merge vob-files" activated. So I just got one big vob-file for the movie. Usually this would not be a problem, because - as far as I know - all software-dvd-players are able to play those merged vob-files (You even do not need the ifo-file then, just klick the vob file - thatīs why I tried this option). But - obviously - dvd2svcd (or should I just say dvdv2avi ?) is not able to handle those merged vob-files. I did not know that. But now I do.

Bye
