I just did a usual Alt-Tab...

Take a look at the top left of the search icons in the first column.
Have you ever seen these orange-blue whatever it is?

I was unable to take the screenshot of other icons with it but I can tell for sure there were others as well, while I continued Alt-Tabbing (eg. Process Explorer). It is NOT a normal part of the icons.

:thanks:

:goodpost: I have not noticed the similarity! Maybe some graphics driver error??? (Nvidia)

I enlarged the shot as much as I could and I am afraid to say I do agree with the previous poster: It does look like a portion of the Firefox icon.

As to exactly what is causing this,

I was not able to replicate the issue, however it was amusing at the time I saw it, as some icons while Alt-Tabbing had it, after another Alt-Tab some other had it but not the previous ones.
Firefox was among the opened programs.

Thank you all for your help.
