View Full Version : Nero "End of track" error when burning to multiple recorders.

I just authored a DVD and want to burn it to 4 identical recorders simultaneously but always get a "end of track" error which happens at 100% of recording phase. The DVD is readable on the PC but not on the DVD player. I'm using Windows Vista, Taiyou Yuden 8x DVD-R, LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6SPS0A, Nero Version: 7.7.5.1. The same error happens when I burn to 2 or 3 recorders simultaneously. Burning is only successful when burning to 1 recorder. Below is the log.

Hi!Simulate : TRUEAre you in "Test" mode or actually burning?

Why make 4 backup copies of your original DVD?

Is it that you can successfully burn with ANY ONE of your four burners, or that only ONE SPECIFIC burner can successfully burn?

That last write command is at LBA 0x00218FC0

= LBA 2199488

The transfer length (number of sectors to write) is 0x20

= 32

2199488 + 32 = 2199520

Compare that to the original size and you'll know why you have the problem.

You've hit a bug in their code.

Yes I'm in simulation mode but in real mode, I get the same result. It's home-made videos I compiled on DVD. Yes, I can burn to any one burner with success but not more than that.

Is there an alternative to Nero that can burn a compiled DVD folder to multiple recorders and the do a data verification?

The thread at the following link indicates that others have been successful using NERO and multiple recorders to concurrently burn multiple DVDs.

It also indicates that "Roxio Easy Media Creator 8" has this same capability...

LIGHTNING UK! is right, the bug is with Nero. I upgraded the firmware but same error occurs. I uninstall Nero 7.7.5.1 and install Nero 7.5.7.0, the error disappears.
