x264 output path error checking

I'm using x264 rev.622 using command line, I don't realize when writing invalid path for "-o" argument, the path simply don't exist, but the x264 is not showing any error and run the encoding process, sadly after encoding ~36hours and its done, I don't have the encoded file because the path doesn't exist (still without error notifications)

maybe developer of x264 should check it....
