I want to rip Fianl Fantasy to my hard drive. No matter what DVD I put in the drive when I try to select the source I get error message using CladMdec 1.1 "Run Time Error 53." What else can I use to rip a complete DVD to the hard drive and why do you think I can nor get CladMdec to work. Run Time Error 63?

Thanks for replying. I checked the guide page and there are about 13 links to different guides. I checked out the guide "Ripping the hard way -" as well as some others but did not see any reference to my question. Would you happen to have the link to the guide that specifically discusses CladMdec 1.1 "Run Time Error 53." Thanks.

Maybe you would like to try Smartripper? It can rip individual files or the whole DVD. It works for all the DVDs I've ripped so far.

Hi,
Got no idea about ur error message. You should just try a different method i think.
IMHO (and from what i have read) smartripper and vstrip are the only rippers to use.
I've never had a problem with smartripper, and its what i use most of the time, tho from what ive read there can occasionally be "problem" dvd's using this method.... so if that doesn't work try...
...vStrip should be able to rip any dvd created (that was in the ripping the hard way guide) - this app IMO is a little non-newbie friendly (if ur a n00b), but is *well* worth the effort to learn.
There are guides/downloads to these apps at doom9.
Take it easy.
