View Full Version : CCE and YV12 color space

I read in videohelp forum that since version 2.7 CCE support YV12 color space as input. I can't change the option to not use ConvertToYUY2 in DVD Rebuilder options when I am using CCE. Can this issue resolved?

In DVD-RB, Options -> AVS Options -> uncheck ConvertToYUY2().

As I said in the first post, I can't change this option when CCE is choosen. It's forced to YUY2 as CCE only work with input file in this color space in old versions (less than 2.7) but the version 2.7 include YV12.

CCE 2.70 still uses YUY2. (Section 4.12 of the manual)

If you input YV12 into CCE, it will use a system codec to do the conversion into YUY2.

Edit: Added manual section number.

As I understand it, the newer versions don't actually support YV12 -- they will accept it and convert it to YUY2 internally. With that in mind I decided it was better to keep the conversion within AVISYNTH -- making it less likely to have to do one extra conversion (e.g. for filters).

[Edit] Looks like I'm a little slow on the draw -- and Video Dude beat me to the answer.
