Hi guys,
I've been trying to remove puops (fbi warnings) from an iso-format-movie by dvddecrypter, because vobcopy cannot do it!.
Usually I mount an iso image by -o loop -t iso9660 but dvddec is not able to read it....
My question is:
How can I make dvddecr (under wine) read iso images ? or...is there a native software for LInux able to remove puops?
Thanks

... but PgcEdit cannot work on an ISO. You will have to copy the files to your hard disc, process them, and recreate the ISO.

Iso is mounted on the filesystem....I think it should work!

No, an ISO is read-only. PgcEdit cannot save the files on a read-only filesystem!

As I said: copy the files in a directory on your hard disc, and process them with PgcEdit. You can also use the burn function of PgcEdit to recreate an ISO.

ok, so firstly I mount iso on the filesystem, then copy all files in a dir (different from /mnt/iso the mount point) and then use pcgedit.Right?

Right.
BTW, if you want to remove the puops also from the VOBs, you need the PUO plugin. Without the plugin, you can only remove the PUOs from the IFOs.

PcgEdit works on Linux perfectly. I've put puo plugin in plugins folder and opened dvd!
Then I have selected "selectively clear vob puos" and it all seemed fine, but when I watch dvd still FBI warning appears!
Can you help me to remove this warnig?
Thanks in advance

The FBI crap is not related to PUOps. It's probably a little title, or a part of the menus. Use the preview to locate it, and when you've found the right PGC, use Kill PGC Playback to inhibit the playback of that PGC.
If you cannot find it easily, you can also use the trace mode to simulate the playback of the DVD. The FBI warning is usually one of the first thing you see when playing the DVD.
BTW, to use the preview under Linux, you need Wine installed, and you must disable the overlays in the preview preferences (should be the default anyway.)

anyway, I did the simplest thing in the world to skip that fbi crap: used dvdshrink under wine to select the frame to start from, and reauthored the dvd then corrected the wrong ifo generated by shrink during reathoring phase, by using PgcEdit.......sometimes oldness knocks on my door :-)

IMO, it is easiest and a lot faster to simply kill the unwanted stuff directly with PgcEdit, but your method should work also. :)
