Hi everybody!

I get the following error message every time i click on run in vStrip:
"vStrip lost sync (not authenticated?) [@LBA1]", although i exactly followed the guide "ripping the hard way" from doom9.
I have already "copied" several DVDs and i used clad or smartripper to do so, without any problems. What is this error message of vStrip about and what am i to do against it?
Thanks

Locutus

P.S.: How is that CSS workin? I wasnt able to find a guide about it, but i suspect that CSS makes it possible to compress a movie with divx without decrypting the dvd to hdd, but to read it directly from the dvd. Am i right? Would be great if someone could post a link to a guide or something. Thanks.

options:
- run player (and play the DVD) before running vStrip.
- dvd decrypter (no ifo parsing)
- smart ripper (yuck aspi-code).

DVDdecrypter and smartripper work very well with nearly every DVD i had. Nevertheless i wanted to try vStrip as it is said to be the best tool.

Now i have tried to Play the DVD with WinDVD before runnin vStrip and just like u said, the lost sync error is gone and vStrip starts copying the DVD to HDD.....after some time it says that there would not be enought HDD space, but this cant be true, as i got 11GB of free space on this partition and even after the first vobs which vStrip already wrote there r still about 5GB free.......what is this error now again?

That vStrip makes me kind of mad....
Thanks.

I have encountered the same problem with V~strip. I will try running the DVD player first, but I thought I had done that. Hopefully this will help me.
