Hello,

I downloaded the new version of staxrip recently, however im having a problem which im pretty sure if down to the DG version. The problem is that when i load the .vob file into stax, its then loads that into DG and creates .d2v - stax then loads that.

I am working with NTSC material which i know is 29.970fps, however stax does not agree with me and says it is 23.976.

I have had a read through the website and the authors of stax said this was an issue but was fixed in the last release, just wandering if anyone else has had this problem or if DG creaters are around?

Many thanks,

I am around but I cannot help you with StaxRip.

Maybe it is 3:2 pulldown and StaxRip is just telling you that.

i would like to perform ivtc on the ntsc material but doing in stax gives fps of about 18, i might just go back to the older version of stax with older versions of all the other software - it worked then, lol.

exact same problem with staxrip 0.9.9.5 when trying to process NTSC european dvds (ie those mastered from Pal source and need to be re-pal filtered)
they're all decoded @ 23.976 and I can do nothing about it...but they were left @ 29.97 with staxrip 0.9.9.2
weird...

All I know is that at some point the syntax of the film/video percentage report at the bottom of the D2V file changed and StaxRip had a problem with it. I would suggest that you ask the StaxRip people about this issue. If you can demonstrate a problem in DGIndex, however, I'll be happy to look at it.
