Encode DigitalTV on the fly...

I have a Devico HDTV card and I would like to encode HD on the fly instead of going to ts and then encoding, is this possible?

I don't think so. I suppose you could capture TS files in 15 minute segments and set a batch job to start encoding while the recording is going on. Sounds like a hassle.
