How to make a mkv file with multi avi

I just want to know how to write the chapter file(.txt format),Who can give me a example?

In fact,I rip a music video dvd,I rip every song to a avi file.I want to mux them to a mkv file,and can select song when playback,How can I do?

By far the easiest method is using mkvtoolnix's chapter editor, in mmg, as long as you 'append' every video. Or you can just add all the videos in on their own and switch them with 'video angle' and 'audio language' at play time, but you have to manually keep them in sync. I don't know if there's a way to force them to stay together properly.
