Hi all,
I'm encountering strange problems with Pan Scan menus.
I've encoded my menus with a SD-1000, then used Restream to set the display extension to 540.
The Mpeg2 file have been accepted by Scenarist 3.1 as 4:3 Pan Scan.
I've authored my DVD with Wide and Pan Scan displayed menus (my clients doesn't want wide menus on 4:3 TVs.)
I've tested the disc on several DVD Players (Sony, Pioneer and Toshiba) sucessfully.
Now, my client tells me that the check disc doesn't work on Philips players.
The menus won't display. They only show black screens and the subs...
We've tried the disc on 3 different Philips players with the same result, but It works on other brands !
How come this happens ? Is there an issue with those kind of menus ?
My clients told me that he never had that kind of experience with authers authoring studio.
I guess I'm the lucky one... :)
Anyone have a clue ?
Cheers.
Alex.-
