Hy there,

I was looking for a way to transcode some videfiles which are h264 with AC3 Audio and an english subtitelstream in a MKV-Container. The goal is to put these into a MP4 Container, keeping the subtitles and recoding the Video with XVID, Audio to AAC in order to play them on my Standalone, which is able to playback Nero Digital.

I could do this manualy, but since itīs a lot of files, I was looking for a batch-way to do it.

Tried AviDemux, Mediacoder and MKVMagic. None of them supported the subtitles correctly. Mediacoder seems to do a goob job but the subs arenīt recognized.

Anybody have a hint of a batch-tool to do this job?
Thanx!

Does ffmpeg deal with subtitles correctly?

If yes, Iīll give it a try and maybe I can use universal GUI for batch-processing then...

If yes, Iīll give it a try and maybe I can use universal GUI for batch-processing then...you will need to extract the subs with mkvextract and add them again to mp4 with mp4box

or you hardcode the subs on the video, but i doubt thats doable as batch
