I have a friend who captured serveral hours of sound and burned it in Adobe Audition as an music-cd but on a DVD. The result is an DVD which states "incorrect function" when i try to open it in Windows. If i use IsoBuster i can grab a 2,79 GB data file, but i cant do nothing with it. If i play the ISO in VLC it just read the file, but i can choose 17 diffrent "sources".

I've also tried to "rip" the CD with CdEx and Audiocatalyst, but with no results. I've also tried to read the ISO-file with CDImage and WinImage.

Any ideas on how i can grab the sounds on that DVD?

I get the information when i'm using DVDDecrypter, if its any help:

Hi!burned it in Adobe Audition as an music-cd but on a DVDIf that's actually what your "friend" did, you should be able to play the disc with any PC-based CD player software.

From what you've described, I'd guess you have a useless disc - but it appears to be a R/W DVD, so at least you can erase it and use it again ;>}

Maybe Exact Audio Copy (EAC) can help, as it has several methods to extract the audio tracks from a CD. Note sure it will accept a DVD...

the DVD cant accept the CD-Audio structure. so the media is completely unuseable.
