I used VirtualDub to split a dvx to put it into 2 702MB CD. The problem is that VD don't show MB but frames and then I see the real size of the splitted files only at the end of the process. Is there a better method to split? Is possible to see also the MBs from the beginning and not only the frame number in VB?

Not that I know of. When I have to split a movie, I just eyeball it at 50% and do it. LOL I am sure that will not help you.

Split it once with "Save segmented AVI". Then you'll know what frame you have to split at for the desired filesize. Next re-open the original and move the slider to the nearest keyframe to that frame and save each half.
