problems uploading the AVATAR or logo for my username

hey um ive got a perfect piccie on me computer which fits in with the sizes needed to diplay under my username but when i click browse on my computer then click submit it says it did it but when i try to see my new AVATAR or logo or whatever it does not show only a picture placement thing comes in its place

I think the pic might have to be approved frst or something, I just finished making mine today, and uploaded it, but I can't see it
just the small red x.

and I know its not a filesize problem. mine is only 585 bytes. I made it as small in filesize as possible so as to not kill the doom9 forum server.
