Compressing avi files

Can anyone guide me through the process of resizing my AVI video files that I captured with my digital camera?

What exactly do you mean with "resizing" ???
Do you want to change the resolution or do you want to re-encode to a different format?

Anyway, you should try Avidemux (http://prdownload.berlios.de/avidemux/avidemux_2.3.0_plus_win32.zip) or good old VDub (http://virtualdub.org) ;)
