I encoded some uncompressed RGB24 avi having a frame rate of 23.976 to Quicktime mov(h.264 codec) using Q.Pro 7 without altering the frame rate. On opening the encoded mov in TMPGEnc Xpress(both 3.0 & 4.0), it says the source frame rate is 23.077. I have checked the movie info in Quicktime 7 also & it says that the frame rate is 23.98. Is this problem related to ffdshow. Well i am using the latest version i.e generic rev826.

ffdshow has absolutely nothing to do with the framerate, unless you bob or decimate it. I'd wager it's your splitter (either gabest's or haali's likely), since mov support is so much flakier than true mp4 (so similar, yet not quite). You could try swapping splitters and see if it helps. Or use whatever's in Quicktime Alternative; I have no idea what it uses as a mov parser.

Alternately, it might just be a problem with TMPGEnc detecting framerates. Someone else might know.

Well i have Gabest splitter installed but in graphedit, the mov trailer uses Nero MP4 Splitter. When i disabled the Nero splitter & checked in graphedit again, i found that it is using some other splitter.

Is there any way to fix this prob ?
