Hi,

I'm thinkin about building a real fast dual Athlon XP machine( Something arround 1800+ Mhz). and now i'm searching for the right MB for that.
I heard about a Tyan board, think it was for long time the only dual mb for Athlons, right? But i think some other manufacturers wanted to bring also dual mb to the market arround xmas. Anybody has a suggestion which is atm the best dual board for Athlon XP ( with DDR) is ther any test site for dual systems?

Is ther any advantage of a Raid system? is the size of a raid system one hd space "+" the other or jus one? Is it neccessery?

Thx for answers

There's only one that support XP duals & thats the Tiger from Tyan, 2CPU has all the info you need on this. Rumors are floating specifically picced XP's can run in some of the newer MPX motherboards starting to appear. But it wont be long before AMD disabled SMP on XP's. I don't know enough about this subject since it just wasnt affordable for me 2CPU.com can help u. I think anandtech is running 2 of them tiger's for there web page.

Don't you hate it that it takes so long for some motherboard makers to get released motherboards out of technology that is available. Hurry up & wait DDR333, ATA133, Agp8x, and MPX duals. It will take forever for the prices to come down for the dual MPX's to be affordable, but I'm sure they will be cheaper then Xeon Duals, maybe. With the way the dual athlons are stomping bench's they may not be cheaper this time around esp with required MP Athlons.

So has anyone tried the new dualie from ASUS? It's a bit more expensive than the Tyan but I've always loved ASUS so it might be worth it.
