Is there a way to force burn onto a DVD by ignoring if the media is considered full or corrupted, or by bypassing those checks somehow?

I believe you can format a previously burned non-rewriteable disk, but the areas that are corrupt or have already been burned will still be there. You will only gain the unused space of the disk, minus the new lead-in tracks. You may not be able to format a disk that was originally written as "disk-at-once."
