I have a low-system (1.8 Ghz - 6800 GT - 1 GB RAM). To play this video normally without jerking:

Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 23.98fps [English, The Chronicles of Riddick (Video 1)]
Subtitle: Advanced SubStation Alpha [English, english subtitles (Subtitle 1)]
Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch [English, AC3 5.1 (Audio 1)]

I have to use the MPC with the CoreAVC decoder + overlay mixer. The problem is, the subtitle is not available unless I change the DirectShow Video to renderless (VMR7 or VMR9). But in renderless mode the whole video is jerking.

Any idea how I can watch the subtitle in overlay mixer mode?

You need to install VSFilter.

It's an .mkv container file... does the VSFilter still work?

Edit:

Awesome, now it works. Thank you very much :D
