I'm one those people who backs up all of his DVD's and then just uses the copies ones to watch the movie.(Girlfriend thinks I'm crazy for going through so many DVD-R's but, I like to keep my originals in great condition).

I've been using Anydvd with DVDShrink and then using Imgburn to burn them and have had no problems at all until the last couple movies I backed-up.

I just purchased 'Employee of the Month', 'The Descent' and 'The Protector'. I did what I always do to back them up and everything went just fine until I tried to watch them.

I just use my PS2 to watch movies(last stand alone DVD player broke on me) and it's played them just fine. For some reason I keep having problems with my latest movies.

I tried watching 'Employee of the Month' and it kept saying that the disc was unreadable for some reason, but if I used the PS2 menu and tried to goto the DVD Menu, it would load it up just fine, but once I started watching the movie it would skip a lot, like very few seconds.

So I tried watching it with my other two backups and it was doing the same thing. So I got out an older movie('The Libertine') that I had made just two weeks ago and it played just fine.

So I tried playing my backed up DVD's in my computer and they played just fine and they also played just fine in my girlfriend's iMac.

So I was just wondering if it's something that I'm doing wrong, or does it sound more like it's the PS2 that's messing up. I'm leaning towards the PS2 being the problem myself, but I figured I'd ask here and try to get a few opinions.

Thanks for the help,
Brian.

Hi!

Try re-ripping the three DVDs using the easy to use "RipIt4me" package (Incorporates RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink). Do NOT use AnyDVD while using the "RipIt4Me" package. You can download this excellent freeware from:

www.ripit4me.org

While you're at that site, read the excellent "how to" tutorial...
