Recently Zambelli posted a problem with incompliant GOP lengths and HC:

I'm not too familiar with this subject: will this problem affect in any way NTSC jobs in DVD Rebuilder?

TIA, anyone that can clarify

I've never seen HC output non-compliant GOPs in my experience. Just for reference NTSC can have up to 18 frames per GOP in the standard while PAL is limited to a maximum of 15 (.6 seconds).

Hank315 would probably be a better source for answering...

By the way, just FYI -- you can also fix the GOP size under the OPTIONS tab by selecting "Advanced (Expert) Options" and then selecting on "GOP Size".

Yes thanks, zambelli's post prompted to me to wonder whether there are any cases in which I should be manually setting that "GOP Size" in DVD Rebuilder (instead of keeping it on the "auto" default.)
