Playback with nero after transcoding

Ok, when I tried to put one of my media into dvd-video with nero vision, after its done I played it back. Some places became frozen for a few seconds when I played the files. Whereas the media itself in avi, has no such problems. Can someone fill me in with what is going on? Is it because of the priority thing? Is low priority better than high? Should I do the second pass on the program?

when i sue nero to transcode and later burn, when i playback the dvd on my tv, the show freezes for about 1 sec or so every like 30s to 1 min.

why is that so?

In both your cases the issue is with the burn. Start by reducing the burn speed, and maybe go with better quality media in your next purchase.

yeah...the quality of my movie are average in quality. The burn speed is at the lowest. When i play it back on the pc before I burn it after i transcoded it into my harddrive it is still slow. perhaps does it have to do with the priority settings?
