Hello everyone again.
I need a recommendation at codecs and compressions about making really long videos (over 30 or 40 min.) than can't have more than 100MB, while having the best quality as possible. (Who knows, technology keeps advancing)
What does everyone use/recommend?

This shouldn't be in the 'Capturing Video' forum.
And moreover, this question is really impossible to answer as you have written. Compression is highly dependent on several factors not least of which are frame size and video content. I'd suggest you read codec comparisons and scan through the forums yourself, THEN actually do tests and find which codec is better suited to your needs.

Blizzardstar captures analog video, and had been struggling with consumer-grade commercial editing/encoding software.

Doom9's codec comparisons are more applicable to CD-sized encodes made from DVD, and I could see how someone who has already read them may still want additional advice.
But I will move this thread to the Newbie forum, which is a more appropriate venue for this type of question.
