I have a very simple (I think) question that I hope someone can help a total noob with.

I simply need to capture PS3 and xBox 360 video onto my computer.

Some requirements:
It needs to maintain the quality/framerate/resolution/audio.
The capture segments will be less than 10 minutes each.
It should be able to simultaneously display on TV and computer monitor.

Has anyone done something like this? Suggestions on hardware? (Approximate costs?)

My area of technical expertise is nowhere near this area, so please, little words. :)

Thanks in advance.

I am currently capturing 360 and ps3 footage. I am using this capture card....

This allows me to capture at full rez. Audio is captured separately and synced later. Obviously your gonna need a shit hot PC to handle the amount of data.

However, currently im still having capturing problems. Im using VirtualDub, which so far has proved not to be ideal for capturing High Rez. Games consols punch out a variable frame rate, not a set one. In order to get VirtualDub to capture you have to set it to capture a specific frame rate. This means when captureing 360 or ps3 there are many frame inserts or drop frames.
If you are working on the developer side of things, I would recommened you obtain a version of the game that runs at a clamped 15fps, slowed down. You can adjust the speed and frame rate in post.
