I've ripped the dvd, now i'm trying to put it on to a dvd-r
i've got twice the limit that can fit on there..how do i know which files to delete??!?!?

if you want a DVD that plays fine you cannot simply delete random files.
you will have to reduce the data so it will fit on a DVD(-5 I assume) e.g. by deleting extras, audio streams and subtitles.
if after that it still doesn't fit or if you want to keep all this stuff you will need to reduce the biggest part (in terms of size) of the DVD: the video stream.

for all this to happen you'll need one or more external program(s) to author the DVD, depending on your needs.
DVD-Rebuilder or DVDShrink comes to mind.

i was looking at dvdshrink program....it looks FAR beyond my computer skills. Hell this is far beyond what i'm doing now. SO what your saying is I still need a nother program to beable to move on to the next level of getting this done: thanks much

i was looking at dvdshrink program....it looks FAR beyond my computer skills. Hell this is far beyond what i'm doing now.as for most programs there are a lot of good tutorials available. just search a bit and get to know the basic terms and theory.

Have you thought about taking up a different hobby? Stamp collecting, maybe? It doesn't get any easier than Shrink.

(Just kidding) My fellow philatelists and I respectfully suggest that you replace your reference to "stamp collecting" with "coin collecting" - no one ever makes fun of numismatists ;>}
