Camtasia crashes when I try to use Xvid as the encoder...

I hope someone here can help me. I've been struggling with recording issues using CamStudio for a while now. Someone mentioned Camtasia so I went ahead and got it. That fixed the audio issues I've been having, but I got an entirely new issue to deal with now :(

When I select Xvid (using version 1.1.2) and start a recording session Camtasia (version 4.0.0) crashes. I get this error in the Event Viewer:

Faulting application camrecorder.exe, version 4.0.0.0, faulting module xvidcore.dll, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x000731aa.

Could someone tell me what's going on and how I could fix this? I'd be very appreciative -

I'd suggest that, for your $300+ purchase price, you should be seeking direct help from the publisher's Product Support people...
