Increase the volyme when making a DVD copy

If I have a DVD where the volume is too low. Can I make a copy of it and increase the volyme on the copy?

It is called normalization, or boost, however you want to do it. Unfortunately, you will have to recompress the audio, so it means lower quality.

There are a number of programs that can do it for you, you just have to look.
