I have enabled the Menu-encoding, but the menu in the VIDEO_TS folder will not be reduced. Also i the beta-test viewer no editing is available. What's my mistake? Sometimes this is really big.
Thanks for help, Kind regards, JNM

Try with inserting
VTSM_MIN_SIZE=10
under the [Options] section of rebuilder.ini
This reduces the minimum size of the menu files that will be encoded.

If you're talking about VIDEO_TS.VOB this one will not be touched by RB at the moment.

You have to run PREPARE first to use the editor. Make sure 1-Click-Mode is unticked.

Thanks for the information. I'll try the option VTSM_MIN_SIZE=10. Is '10' = 10MB?
The Item 'prepare' is clear for me. I mean that the VIDEO_TS.VOB is also after preparing not available for adjustment under 'Preview/Edit'.
Kind regards, JNM

As I already said VIDEO_TS.VOB will not be touched. And this has nothing to do with VTSM_MIN_SIZE. ;)

Yes, VIDEO_TS.VOB are not touched and cannot (yet) be edited, however I understand that the menus in VTS_XX_0.VOB are encoded if the file size is larger than specified by the VTSM_MIN_SIZE=n, with n=number of secors.
1 sector=2048 Bytes.

That's a pity! Yes, VIDEO_TS.VOB are not touched and cannot (yet) be edited
Do you know, if it will become active anytime? I have often menus about 200-300MB and can't them reduce!

As far as I know it's on jdobbs' to-do-list.

I doubt that there are so many dvds with real menu content inside VIDEO_TS.VOB. Usually it's filled with useless stuff.
My recommendation at the moment is to use Vobblanker in front of RB.

Well thank's. That's the way that I just use (Vobblanker before). But in my case it's a real menu, that I still need. So we have to wait for this feature.

Well until it's implemented in RB, you could use Shrink to transcode just the menu and keep anything else uncompressed. Or use MenuShrink if stills might be okay for you.

That's cool! I have often read about MenuShrink, but I've forgot to use it in connection with RB. Thank's for this tip!

See the sticky regarding using NuMenu4u in conjuction with ReBuilder. NuMenu can remove unreferrenced / re-encode the video_ts.vob.
