Ok, I am sure that I read the rules and such. However, I am not a familiar with the vocabulary so I am sorta confused while sifting through the threads. Like "dual layer" and other things. Plus, I am not sure if converting a file into a DVD counts as burning because I thought that Burning was just writing onto a disc so sorry... so if ogm to dvd does mean burning then sorry....just tell me.
:search: I did, but it came up with a lot of threads that didn't fit my problem. I am just saying this to clear up any questions.

What is a good program that allows addition of subtitle files to media files when burning onto a DvD. You know, like giving an extra function of subtitles to a .ssa or .srt subtitle file onto a dvd. I got OGM with dual format that comes with subtitles and I was wondering if there was any good program to do this. Nero is a good program but it doesn't support OGM. Is there a plugin to allow Nero to recognise it? Is there any program I can use to do it?

Also, I have been hearing rumors that a program allows you to modify your hardware to do certain functions. Like for example, "teach" a CD writer to Write on DVDs. Is this just a fact or fiction?

You'll need to learn some of the "vocabulary" in order to get accurate responses.

A "video DVD" is what you buy in stores and can drop in and play on any DVD player. When you want to convert video files on your computer to a disk that can play on anything, you want to burn a video DVD.

The .OGM part of a video file indicates the "container." Nero does not recognize the .OGM container, but it will recognize an .AVI one. You'll need to convert your files to a container that Nero can import.

Ok thanks that covered most of my thoughts. I thought that teaching a hardware new tricks was a myth. thank you.
