Im wanting to deinterlace A SouthPark Pal Dvd, since the quality isnt all that good played on my dvd player in widescreen format.
Is there any simple way to quickly make it deinterlaced so it would play better on my dvd player ?

interlace probably isn't the problem.

if it looks bad on a standalone player, it's probably just because the video is kinda bad.

south park is originally NTSC, and so it's been converted for the PAL release. this means interlace and fields blended together. deinterlacing that mess will just make it more obvious and less detailed.

however, if you could post a small sample cut out of the ripped VOB that demonstrates the particular badness you're referring to, someone here could probably post a nice solution (though PAL releases of NTSC titles will never be as good a source to work off as their NTSC counterparts. they may look just as good to watch, but re-encoding and watching have quite different requirements).

It was the original release of it in pal version, so didnt think video quality should of been bad, but it does look a little shakey compared to the ntsc version of a later season when player on my pc.
So if i converted i would lose quality, and would it be that time consuming, as to the pros would outweigh the cons of doing it?
Am I actually allowed to upload a sniplet here or what that be illegal since I'd be uploading a licensed tv show..? and if im allowed whats a quick easy and free splitter ?

Demux part of the VOB through dgindex and upload to a third-party site like rapidshare or megaupload.
